2022 Liberty Race in Madrid

The Liberty Race

Running for Inclusion

The Liberty Race supports and promotes a more inclusive society for people of all abilities.

We have been hosting Madrid’s famous ‘Carrera Liberty’ since 2009 as part of our commitment to serving as a force for social good by advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and supporting our most vulnerable neighbours. The race aims to give greater visibility for people with disabilities and to promote a more inclusive society for people of all abilities.

The funds raised from the race go to the Liberty team of Paralympic Athletics Promises which we created in 2012. The aim of this team is to guarantee that any young person, regardless of their ability, could compete and develop in the world of sport in Spain.

Since 2022, we brought the spirit of Madrid’s famous ‘Carrera Liberty’ to Ireland and Portugal with the IWA Run’n’Roll, Proudly Supported by Liberty Insurance in Dublin and the Cascais Corrida de Natal by Liberty Seguros in Cascais. Both of these races promote societal inclusion and raise much needed funds for disability charities and projects.

Moved by our Values, we aim to grow these races year on year to move the dial on disability inclusion in all our European markets #MovedByValues.
